When is Soda City Poetry Festival?
SCPF is Friday and Saturday, June 27-28, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Where is the festival held?
Most festival events will take place inside the Richland Library (Main) located at 1431 Assembly Street, Columbia, SC. There will be a few offsite events; locations are TBD.
How much does it cost to attend?
Good news! Most Soda City Poetry Festival events are free! No need to register, just show up! There is one ticketed event on the night of Saturday, June 28th. Details coming soon.
What time will my favorite poet perform?
Our event schedule for times and locations for readings, workshops, and poetic conversations will be posted soon.
Where do I park?
Free parking for Main Library visitors is available in the two parking lots behind the library. Both lots are accessible from the 1400 block of Park Street. There is metered parking along Assembly, Park, Washington and Hampton streets. Metered spaces are free all day Saturday.
The upper lot near Hampton Street has four handicapped spaces and two spaces for charging electric vehicles. Two additional handicapped spaces are located on Assembly Street directly in front of the library entrance.
Is the festival for all ages?
Yes! The festival is child-, teen-, and adult-friendly. We even have sessions for kids and young adults!
