Volunteers

The Soda City Poetry Festival is a two day festival of poetry in Columbia, SC.

It will be held on June 27-28, 2025 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. This event will be open for all ages and will offer an inter-generational and racially diverse festival where young and experienced poets can share the same space and learn from one another. Held at Richland Library, the purpose of the festival is to promote the reading, writing, and discussion of poetry and to showcase Columbia’s vibrant poetry communities and the poets who work in them.

This year's theme is One River, One Boat: Celebrating SC's poets. We want poets from across the state to participate in this year's festival to show the variety and beauty of SC's poets.

As a volunteer, you will assist with managing time for the poetic conversations, readings, and workshops, run errands for the festival planners, and gather zip codes from festival go-ers. Please choose a time period below to volunteer. Email info@sodacitypoetry.org for questions or concerns.
